Westford sits in Middlesex County, roughly 21 miles east of our Northborough shop, and about 28 miles from the coast. That puts a cedar shingles job here inside our normal working radius, so the crew arrives with the right materials on the first morning instead of making a supply run mid-job. We also work regularly in Chelmsford, Littleton, Carlisle, so the drive is routine rather than an excursion.
Nothing dramatic happens to an exterior here in any single week — the wear is cumulative. Water sits in a lap, the temperature crosses freezing, the ice takes up more room than the water did, and the joint gives a fraction. Repeat that all winter and the wall loses its seal from the seams outward. Westford is 28 miles from the coast, so salt is not the issue here — the freeze-thaw cycle is, and it runs all winter. That is exactly why we help Westford, MA homeowners choose cedar shingle siding that stands up to it.
The housing stock across Middlesex County runs to centre-entrance colonials, garrisons and expanded capes on established suburban streets, with antique farmhouses still standing on the older routes. Between Chelmsford, Littleton and Westford itself we see that whole range in a single working week, which is why a cedar shingles quote here starts with a survey of the wall rather than a price per square.
Westford borders Chelmsford, Littleton, Carlisle and Acton, and we run cedar shingles jobs across all of them from the same shop — so scheduling a Westford project rarely waits on crew availability.
With an expected lifespan of 20–40 years, cedar shingles is a long-term investment for Westford homeowners — ideal for Cape Cod, Colonial, and Craftsman-style homes seeking natural beauty. Owner Ezequias Lobo personally oversees every job since 2007. Explore our cedar shingles across Massachusetts, or pair it with vinyl siding and clapboard siding. Every job starts with a free on-site assessment — no surprises, no pressure.
