Southborough sits in Worcester County, practically next door to our Northborough shop, and about 29 miles from the coast. That puts a hardie plank job here inside our normal working radius, so the crew arrives with the right materials on the first morning instead of making a supply run mid-job. We also work regularly in Marlborough, Ashland, Westborough, so the drive is routine rather than an excursion.
Nothing dramatic happens to an exterior here in any single week — the wear is cumulative. Water sits in a lap, the temperature crosses freezing, the ice takes up more room than the water did, and the joint gives a fraction. Repeat that all winter and the wall loses its seal from the seams outward. Southborough is 29 miles from the coast, so salt is not the issue here — the freeze-thaw cycle is, and it runs all winter. That is exactly why we help Southborough, MA homeowners choose Hardie Plank fiber cement siding that stands up to it.
The housing stock across Worcester County runs to three-deckers and turn-of-the-century two-families in the older village centres, with post-war capes and ranches on the roads out of town. Between Marlborough, Ashland and Southborough itself we see that whole range in a single working week, which is why a hardie plank quote here starts with a survey of the wall rather than a price per square.
Southborough borders Marlborough, Ashland, Westborough and Hopkinton, and we run hardie plank jobs across all of them from the same shop — so scheduling a Southborough project rarely waits on crew availability.
With an expected lifespan of 30–50 years, hardie plank is a long-term investment for Southborough homeowners — ideal for homeowners seeking premium, low-maintenance siding with the look of real wood. Owner Ezequias Lobo personally oversees every job since 2007. Explore our hardie plank across Massachusetts, or pair it with vinyl siding and clapboard siding. Every job starts with a free on-site assessment — no surprises, no pressure.
